HOUSE IN trafalgar square

Charles Dickens would have walked by this 18th century grade II listed Georgian house near the Thames, en route to visit his father. Inspired by Japanese Onsen, the transformation of this house into a family home began with the creation of a calm, serene master bedroom suite and spa. A grand living space for family and guests is created on the 1st floor. It is a luminous, light-filled room centred around a Maarten van Severen untreated French oak table. A white, streamline Boffi kitchen wraps the perimeter; turning around the corner, it surprises with a black wall of appliances. The ground floor music rooms, lined with walnut veneer shelves, accommodate upright and grand pianos for practice and performance.
