HOUSE IN KENSINGTON

Only the original facades are retained in this white stucco terrace house supported by a new structural frame over five floors. A newly excavated 90 sqm basement comprises dining room, gym, and a sunken garden. The lower ground floor is opened to form a kitchen and family room which flow out to the rear garden by way of a floating glass bridge. A master bedroom suite occupies the 1st floor; and guest bedrooms on the 2nd floor. Throughout, natural daylight is introduced by creating minimal walls, large rooflights and open stairs. The house has a black and white palette, with dark Wenge and Marron Cohiba contrasting against the off-white walls, glass balustrades and stainless steel fittings.
